It's Not Your Fault

Dear Friend,

There's a hilarious scene in the movie Goodwill Hunting where, a psychologist (played by Robbin Williams) is having a breakthrough moment with his client——a genius kid who's a janitor at MIT (played by Matt Damon).

I say this scene is "hilarious" because my cousins and I often imitate the scene jokingly.

You see, the psychologist (Robbin Williams) is in a session with his client, and in the middle of it, he stands up, and starts repeating, "It's not your fault! It's not your fault! It's not your fault!…" over and over again.

When my cousins and I are having a conversation, one of us will inevitably cut the other off and just start repeating, "It's not your fault! It's not your fault! It's not your fault!…" (over and over again). It's hilarious. I suggest you try it sometime when someone's annoying you.

Anyway, that scene popped into my head just now because I was speaking with a woman who is struggling to succeed as an independent writer, creator, and thinker.

She did what so many of us fall into——the trap of writing a blog.

She wants to get her message out to the world and transform the lives of people she cares about.

Inevitably, for some unknown reason, it seems the conventional thought out there——perpetuated by "digital creators" (i.e., broke bloggers who make money telling other people to blog)——is to… start a blog!

But here's the truth:

STARTING A BLOG IS THE WORST THING YOU CAN DO IF YOU WANT TO SUCCEED AS AN INDEPENDENT WRITER, CREATOR, AND THINKER!

You are setting yourself up for failure if you follow this model!

I know from experience.

I've tried this model dozens of times since my first blog launched in 2009, and I can tell you——without question——the blogging model is a dead end for 96% of you.

Substack, Ghost, WordPress——whatever——throw all that digital content B.S. out the window.

The economics are stacked against you if you want to succeed——and what's more, is that——the activity of writing quality content and giving it away for free (yes, that's become a serious thing for some G-d damn awful reason)——it will drain your energy and set you up for failure.

Listen: The name of the game is energy management. You need to manage your energy if you seek to succeed as an independent writer, creator, and thinker.

You cannot succeed if you want to create content via Twitter/YouTube/Podcast AND create longform content in the form of a blog AND——on top of all this——create products like books and courses.

You'll spread yourself too thin.

When she told me about her strategy and how she was struggling, I wanted to repeat, over and over again…

IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT!

IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT!

IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT!

What she was describing is the traditional Digital Knowledge Business.

I explain the specifics of the Digital Knowledge Business in my upcoming issue of The Scott Scheper Letter.

And more importantly, I break down the math behind why this model is an unwise business model.

In Issue No. 13, I introduce something called the Analog Knowledge Business. This business model is what I have followed for the past year——and it's the very thing responsible for helping me enjoy $20,000+ per month in revenue——every single month!

Let me make it perfectly clear:

You do NOT want a Digital Knowledge Business; you want an Analog Knowledge Business!

Nobody is teaching this.

There are several others who are succeeding at doing this. I'm not the only one and that's a good thing——it means you can do it, too!

I guarantee that if you read the upcoming issue of The Scott Scheper Letter——and implement everything I tell you——your 2024 will end up as mine did in 2023——you'll end up with a multi-six-figure business doing what you love.

If you'd like to learn the intricacies of this newly-revived business model, then you absolutely must pick up Issue No. 13 of The Scott Scheper Letter.

We are on a mission.

I am on a mission.

In the past month, I've helped three others get up and running with their own Analog Knowledge Business.

Soon, I expect them to start having the same level of success I'm having.

I want you to enjoy this type of success as well.

You can freaking do it.

Let's go——

And get ready——

I want you a part of this exciting journey (if you're not already).
