Two Types of Books

Dear Friend,

I just put the finishing touches on Issue No. 16 of The Scott Scheper Letter.

It's going to be a game-changer.

I'm going to tell you what it contains:

First, I introduce a four-step process for reading books and extracting frameworks from your research.

When you're trying to come up with your own framework for a topic or disciplinary field, you need to read in a very specific way.

The manner in which you read is what Mortimer J. Adler refers to as syntopical reading.

However, in Adler's famous book (How to Read a Book), he doesn't give a robust description of this process.

Therefore, what I'll be detailing in Issue No. 16 is how to conduct syntopical reading. However, I'll be showing you how to carry out this process the best way, the deliberate way…

The Analog Way

You see, if your goal is to carry out syntopical reading, there are actually two types of books.

These two types of books fall under a top-level category called source books.

In Issue No. 16 of The Scott Scheper Letter, I'll be detailing what these two types of books are.

I'll also be showing you how you should approach each type of book. I'll then show you how to use them within your Antinet Zettelkasten workflow.

After you learn this four-step process, you will become a research machine. Furthermore, you will be able to unearth frameworks and mental models that are life-changing (for yourself, and others).

Now...

There's one other thing I want to say. It concerns...

The Second Edition of

The Antinet Zettelkasten Book

Ever since I launched my Antinet Zettelkasten book, I've been keeping a list of items I'll be adding to the book's second edition.

What I'll be sharing in Issue No. 16 will be in the second edition. In fact, it may even become an entirely new section in the Antinet Zettelkasten book.

I have no idea when I'll be releasing the second edition. If I had to guess, I'd say it'll be released in 1-2 years.

However, by picking up Issue No. 16, you'll get this new key piece of knowledge delivered to your doorstep in early April.

In Issue No. 16, I also share three of the most detailed diagrams I've ever seen on Zettelkasten.

These diagrams will help you understand precisely how an Antinet Zettelkasten works in terms of knowledge creation.

There's a whole lot more packed into Issue No. 16, but I'll save that for those of you who are subscribers.

Which brings me to my last point:

For those of you who are not subscribers of The Scott Scheper Letter, you have ten days left to get Issue No. 16.

You can try it for thirty days for free. All I ask is that you cover the cost of shipping and printing (which totals $9.86).

In addition to your subscription, you also get:

(1) Access to my online community, The Tribe. A private community of 300+ independent writers, creators, thinkers, and marketers.

(2) Weekly calls and networking. Regular community calls for topics like Antinet Zettelkasten, writing, marketing, and more.

(3) Five Antinet Zettelkasten Gifts ($1,065 Value). Antinet Masterclass Video Course, Zettelkasten Myths & Denials eBook, and More.

(4) Monthly Hangout Call With Scott - Once a Month, Scott pours himself his favorite drink (Topo Chico sparkling water on ice). He then puts down his pen and fires up Zoom. On this call, you can hang out with Scott for an hour and talk shop about anything (Antinet Zettelkasten, writing, marketing, productivity, and more). This is a chance for the guard to come down and hang out with fellow independent writers, creators, and thinkers.

All of this for just saying "maybe" to a thirty-day trial today (which costs $9.86 in shipping and printing).
