Dear Friend,

Yesterday, I was in a group Zoom meeting with Kathleen Spracklen. I was telling her about a quote Steve Jobs once said.

What happened next was a little embarrassing.

The quote was:

"Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

I was referring to this quote because I believe Kathleen is "one of the crazy ones."

You see——Kathleen is seventy-six years old, and she's embarking on what I estimate to be her fifth career.

Instead of vegging out on the couch all day, Kathleen has decided to become an independent writer in her seventies.

I think this is a heroic act——and dare I say——I think it makes her crazy. (In a good way.)

Instead of doing what most retirees do (i.e., playing Bingo and throwing the channel changer at Fox News), Kathleen has decided to transform the world.

This time, her new career undertaking revolves around serving writers.

Before I tell you about Kathleen's latest venture, let me tell you about what happened after I asked Kathleen if she heard of the Steve Jobs quote I mentioned.

Actually, What Happened Was Kind of Embarrassing

During our Zoom meeting, I asked Kathleen whether she had heard this quote from Steve Jobs.

She replied, "Ah yes. I remember when Steve said that. In fact, I knew Steve because I was the first programmer to create a non-Apple app that ran on the Mac."

It was at this moment that I realized how humble and incredible Kathleen is. In fact, I felt kind of embarrassed because I forgot how much she had done in her life.

You see, Kathleen is a well-known mathematician and one of the first female computer scientists. She's also a pioneer in the field of chess microcomputers.

After programming computers since the 1970s, Kathleen now spends her days learning, thinking, and writing.

So, How Did Kathleen Enter My World?

Kathleen discovered me the way that most people do——through my Antinet Zettelkasten YouTube videos.

Kathleen was an early adopter of my teachings and quickly built her own Antinet Zettelkasten.

In building her Zettelkasten, Kathleen began exploring the field of writing.

You see——one day Kathleen was attempting to teach her niece the magic of Zettelkasten.

Specifically, Kathleen was hoping to show her niece how to use her notecards to craft impactful stories.

However, after looking around the Zettelkasten community, Kathleen noticed something interesting:

Not only was her niece struggling to turn notecards into effective stories——many others were struggling as well.

With this in mind, Kathleen asked a simple question:

How Can I Help People Use Their Zettelkasten to Create Stories People Will Remember Forever?

As a long-time mathematician and computer scientist, she approached this question in the only way she knew how: through deep research and intellectual integrity.

After researching this area, she unearthed an expansive framework that resulted in the most effective method for creating stories people will remember forever.

Here's a binder showcasing all of the research she unearthed:

However, this presented a problem…

The problem centered around how to simplify all of this research.

For this reason, Kathleen set out on a quest to simplify all of this research. That way, people could quickly begin using their Zettelkasten to create effective stories.

After a lot of work, Kathleen was able to consolidate all of this into a beautiful, 70-page book titled:

"Writing with Emotion"

Now, finally, after a long time of writing the book, Kathleen is making it available for practically-close-to-free.

All you have to do is pay the shipping & materials cost of $12.95.

After you purchase the book, Kathleen's beautiful, fully illustrated book will be mailed to your doorstep.

I strongly recommend you do not delay. Her book will likely not be available at this price for very long. (She's actually giving it away for lower than what it costs to send it internationally.)

Kathleen believes in this book so much that she's willing to lose a little money to get it into as many hands as possible.

She's also doing this in hopes you consider joining her amazing writing community and analog monthly newsletter.

Therefore, without further ado, here is the link where you can purchase her book at the special at-cost offer:

Note: I do not make a single penny in affiliate fees by promoting this book. I'm doing this because I believe in the mission of empowering independent writers.

I hope you'll support Kathleen in her mission of helping people write in a more impactful way.

Not only do I recommend purchasing the book (because it's freaking great)——I also want to encourage you to recommend it to a friend.

Warm regards,

And always remember,

To stay crispy, my friend.
